In Aimably there are three different ways you can control these servers:
- Start them only when they are needed.
- Stop them when they are not needed.
- Start them manually via Aimably and stop them at the end of the week.
In order to achieve each of these goals, use the Work Scheduler.
ROLE-BASED ACCESS NOTE: The features and functionality described in this article require the assignment of either the Admin or DevOps user role to your user account. Without either of these roles assigned, some or all of the functionality may not be available to you.
Accessing the Work Scheduler
Sign into Aimably, open the Reduce navigation menu group and click on the Work Scheduler menu item on the left.
Creating a New Work Schedule
There are two methods for creating a work schedule, which function very similarly to standard calendar interactions. The first is to click on the blue plus button in the bottom right of the screen to create a new blank event.
The second is to select a time frame on the calendar itself. Select a time frame by clicking and dragging in order to identify the hours and timezone a server should be active. This can also always be altered or updated on the edit screen if you need to make any changes at a point in the future.
Next, Configure the Work Schedule, and when you're finished click the blue Create button.
